In a recent video released to us anonymously we have a Corellian Port Patrol in the Corellian Sector, Level 88 shooting an unarmed civilian in the back. When will the injustices of the corrupt police force for the Sector be brought to justice? -Rekkil Jusak, Holonet Reporter
(For anyone who sees the holonet it shows a man much like Yuri Jin the miralukan getting shot in the back while putting his hands on a wall by a CPP man in uniform)
Later that same day a spokesman for the Corellian Port Patrol came out to speak to a Holonet Reporter. "We've suspended the officer in question pending a full investigation. If the individual who was injured would present himself we would pay fully for his medical bills and give him a formal apology but the individual shot fled the scene moments after this holovid was recorded. Thank you that is all" The spokesman refused to answer any questions.
Many would of heard and possibly even seen the large battle between Lok's Revenants and Imperial forces above Nar Shaddaa. Debris has been falling for several days now landing here and there even though the battle was over within hours. The Empire has released no message about its defeat over Nar Shaddaa though word has spread off world through traders and merchants by word of mouth.
There is also rumor of a fight at the shield generators but the Hutt's have secured such locations now and no information could be obtained on the validity of this at present.
"...To better protect our citizens and our member worlds, the Emperor has superseded and suspended the Imperial Senate for the duration of this emergency. The Moffs and the Grand Moffs will now have direct control over their systems until such time as the danger has passed. We are sure you shall all do everything in your power to assist us during this time of crisis."
― Your servant, Ars Dangor, Imperial Advisor
The Senate has been dissolved by order of the Emperor. Why you may ask? Well because the Emperor fears what he can't control. that which he can't control he destroys. After a claim that several key figures in the senate were Rebellion sympathizers which ended with Senators from the Zeltros, Alderaan, Bothawui, and yes even Naboo fleeing Coruscant for destinations unknown. We can only hope they made it out alive and are staunchly standing beside the Rebellion they chose over Imperial rule.
In other news... Food prices have reached an all time high here on the Smuggler's Moon. None are certain what is causing them but the unspoken word is that Toydaria is under a food crisis and denying their daily shipments to the Moon. It is uncertain how long this crisis will go on but as food prices rise one can only be assured that those in need will get desperate to do anything to feed their families and themselves. Lock your doors and put bars over your windows citizens. Danger is only a desperate starving resident away.
More disturbing news that can no longer be ignored as a alcohol induced rumor. The dead are walking the streets of the Lower Levels. Yes that is right...I said the dead. As in those who are deceased. Numerous reports of relatives having starved to death only to return to life and attempt to murder their relatives have been reported to the CPC. The CPC has had a mixed response to such reports as they are not a police force so much as a starport security force.
Still despite limited response or aid to the attacked citizens the local populace has taken even more means to arm and protect themselves from what they view as a clear and present threat to their safety. An uncommon funeral custom of burning the bodies of the deceased has seen a drastic increase in recent days.
There have been many victims found mauled as though by wild animals only to have the streets now suddenly becoming devoid of any wild animals at all. Many wonder where the homeless are going to as the streets of the lower levels are empty. None now occupy the alleys where once the alleys were as busy if not busier than the main walkways.
Many citizens are concerned that if this continues a epidemic may sweep over the local populace. I for one agree with them. The stories of the dead walking are preposterous but a plague causing those near death to become violent is not hard to believe citizens. Be sure to continue to keep your homes locked at night and strongly consider cremation for your loved ones who have moved on.
