Nar Shaddaa

Mid Rim

Independent World

Orbiting Nal Hutta, the so-called Smuggler's Moon is a haven for criminals of every sort who gather here to conduct illicit business outside the Empire's reach. With no stable form of government, it is a lawless, anything-goes frontier world where competing gangs and organizations carve out what territory and influence they can.

An urban sprawl reminiscent of some of the Core worlds, boasting soaring towers and sunken fissures lined with shops, compounds and landing strips, much of the world's architecture is in poor repair, and there are districts where even a Jedi might fear to venture alone. If something can't be found in this thriving black market, however, chances are good that it cannot be found at all.

Presently outside the Empire's influence, Nar Shaddaa is an ideal place for those who operate on the fringe of both factions to meet, spy on one another and scheme.

The Slag Pit, Nar Shaddaa

A hive of scum and villainy, tucked into a corner of Nar Shadda on Level 88, the cantina offers live music and deadly peril in equal measure. The favored hang-out of smugglers, bounty hunters and other riff-raff. Weapons are allowed inside and there is little security to speak of. It is a fend for yourself Cantina and quite a few gunfights have happened suddenly inside its walls. Many come here to congregate though for it sees much traffic being the nearest Cantina to the Corellian Sector Starport.

Corusca Gem Casino, Nar Shaddaa

The Corusca Gem Casino was located in a rough, mid-level section of Nar Shaddaa. It was the location of a confrontation between the Clawdite assassin Nomo Sliken, a group of unidentified heroes, and a band of Torga the Hutt's thugs. From the outside, the Corusca Gem was a brightly lit and flashy building. Gathered around the main entrance could be found a group of large bouncers consisting of Barabels, Gamorreans and a huge Herglic. Upon entering, one's ears were immediately assaulted by the racket of noises; the beeps and clacks of gaming machines, the hoots, hollers and grunts of gambling aliens with and undercurrent of music. On the inside the casino was more dimly lit with pools of light scattered here and there. Rows and rows of gambling machines of all kinds surrounded the center pit where dozens of the main gambling tables were located under the watchful eyes of the large pit bosses whose numbers included Devaronians, Togorians, a Besalisk and a Wookiee. Myriads of games were available for play including sabacc, three-handed princess and rebo. At the front of the Corusca Gem was a large bar attended to by several bartenders flanked by a small lounge, waitressed by Rybets, for the more privileged customers. In the rear was a smaller, cozier bar with three bartenders and a half a dozen waitresses. Flanking the rear bar were the kitchens. Scattered throughout one could find waitress hurrying about with trays full of patron’s orders. Stationed at strategic points one could also fine various security guards including Advozsec, Iktochi and Grans. The casino was named after the rare Corusca gems.

This is a no weapons area and there is a large gun cabinet at the front area when you first enter that everyone must put their weapons in.

Desilijic Arena

The Palace was lavish; Bomos's main audience chamber was huge with the main aisle leading up to his dais lined with an expensive carpet while the floors were made of gleaming stone kept highly polished. The antechamber to the throne room had high-sky lighted ceilings and was built from darkly colored stone, the high walls were hung with beautiful tapestries said to be woven by Bomos's prisoners while they awaited execution in his dungeons or death by combat in his Battle Arena.

The palace stands out amid all the structures due to it being made of stone and not durasteel or permacrete. The stone has been shipped here directly from Nal Hutta.

PCs can access/visit-

There are two entrances to the large stone palace. The public one entrance and the one for Bomos and his visitors to the Palace. Then there is the outer courtyard and reception hall where the cantina and visitors to Bomos Palace can drink and be merry. Klatooinian and Gamorrean guards were stationed periodically around the cantina and the seating for the battle arena. Desilijic made heavy use of such primitive races for their body guards as well as FTLCH and E522 droid guards for more sensitive and exact functions.

A light green and dark blue toydarian serve at the ground level bar often knowing the latest rumors for the right amount of credits. The cantina is over a dozen levels high spiral room with four elevators leading up from one level to the next. The tables have lights under the glass giving off an eerie light blue luminescence. There are several alcoves on each level for various functions. Various casino games available include the Sabaac tables, Magna-shuffle, Lugjack machines, Binspo, Compmatch, Denebian Holochess, Imperial Commander, Tregald booths, Zinbiddle, and more. These games mostly occupied the upper levels of the casino in the alcoves and side rooms. In an alcove on the ground level is a booth ran by a blue Duros who receives and gives credits when you bet on the Arena fights. He has many flat screens behind him depicting various sporting events of the day and upcoming weeks as well as who will most likely win based on popularity and battle records.

Note: There are no twi'lek servants in the entire Palace unless stated otherwise by a GM there are only Male & Female Zeltron dancers and waiters/waitresses. All of them scantily clad in promiscuous clothing.

Down a long corridor to the left is the open battle arena. It has large metal pylons about 1.5m tall surrounding it every 5 meters with powerful shields between them that go up to form an invisible bubble around the arena and prevent any of the spectators including Bomos from being injured by flying debris or stray gunfire. The arena seats thousands of sentients at once and has several cordoned off areas for various VIP guests including the largest VIP area across the arena from the entrance where Bomos when he does watch the fights sits upon a large stone dais.

The arena itself can be a large cleared circle or have multiple barriers and obstacles to add a new dynamic to the battle.
